Overpriced regular goods. Nothing special warrants that pricing either than being in Elora. This town needs an affordable grocery store. $35 for pretzels and a couple chocolate bars.
A gem literally in my backyard. Great selection of quality fresh local meats, dairy & produce and they have an amazing homemade & hot food counter which they create daily for those who are busy and don’t want ‘fast food’ Fresh local breads as well as in store bakery & definitely the BEST STAFF of happy smiling friendly folks. Drop by you won’t be disappointed. Thank you Geddes for all you do for our community
I’ve been a loyal customer to this store for almost 3 years now until today. Had to make a return for a valid reason was very polite about it…while doing so the cashier and owner were both extremely rude, can’t believe they spoke to me in that tone. It was embarrassing, won’t be supporting this business anymore. Wanted to shout out the people who work in the bakery, they deserve a 5 star review because they were amazing, and more than willing to help me and make it right.
My family and I love this store. Great selection of products and great prices. Also, the staff are all very nice and helpful. I'd rather support local than a big box store.
Debra and her team at Geddes Street Market are second to none. This customer centric grocery store provides delicious options to our community. Always a friendly face at every touch point. Our family especially likes taking advantage of the butcher/meat counter, hot/cold deli, and fantastic produce. We find that we can purchase fresh, local protein here for much less than the average chain grocery store. And - it tastes soooo much better. Beyond the options available in store, the owner is a massive community builder. She contributes to local food insecurity, events, and even provides delivery to those who cannot leave their homes. My family is so grateful for this team and all they do for the community.
I was in Elora last week with my daughter - we took a couple of days for a getaway from the big city (Toronto) and had a fantastic time in this idyllic town. We ended up parking across from Geddes and went in to buy some lunch items. What a treat! Geddes stocks everything from specialty soaps to vegan items, pastas, fresh produce and meats, fish, and cheeses. It's a delightful shop and we spent well over 45 minutes perusing its aisles. Make it your next tourist stop!!
The little grocery store that could! Everything you need today including fresh-made meals. Butcher counter is top rate! GSM knows what its customers want and strives to have it all in a compact space. Plenty of parking.
